Lorne Campbell and I saw Steve Earle concert May 1 in Belleville. Really nice to see him backstage afterwards. He wrote a quote for the cover of my new book Unrepentant: the Strange and (sometimes) Terrible Life of Lorne Campbell, Satan’s Choice and Hells Angels Biker. He also gave an interview and permission to quote from his songs. He goes back a long ways with Lorne, to when Lorne stepped up to confess to fatally shooting rival biker to spare others in Satan’s Choice, who were innocent, from going to prison. It didn’t work, but not for lack of effort on Campbell’s part. Music was great too.
