Adding to the mix, biker Gregory Wooley, who has beaten murder charges three times, is already back on the streets. Expect to read the phrase “mob war,” plenty of times over the next few months.

There are three more murders to solve in Montreal as the countdown to Mafia boss Vito Rizzuto heats up. Rizzuto is due back in Montreal in October. At least two of the recent victims are described as family hitmen.

It has been five years since Hells Angel Gerry Tobin, formerly of Alberta, was shot dead by member of the Outlaws. He was just shot for the patch on his back, not for anything he had done as an individual.

Maybe they should let this guy get out of Quebec. The man who firebombed the Funéraire Loreto, a Montreal funeral home partly owned by the wife of mob boss Vito Rizzuto got some more jail time, meaning he’ll be in Quebec when Rizzuto returns this fall, after serving time in the U.S. for his role in three gangland slayings. Time spent behind bars before sentencing is known as “dead time.”

Ya think? There are suspicions Vito Rizzuto might want revenge for campaign of violence that included murders of his son and father. Rizzuto’s freed from an American prison this fall.

I don’t imagine the clod who set fire to the Rizzuto family funeral home is sleeping too well these days.

When Vito Rizzuto gets out of prison, at least he just has to worry about the mob. Nobody seems to think public officials are going to do anything much about the corruption that has helped make him rich. A recent poll seems to think corruption is as much a part of life as paying taxes.

Have we ever had a situation like this before, where all eyes are on one man’s exit from prison? Vito Rizzuto finally gets out of American prison this fall. While he has been behind bars, his father, son and several others close to him have been murdered. He must want revenge. He must be concerned for his own safety. On a side note, it’s nice to see Rob Lamberti’s byline again, even if it’s for the competition.
